Agreeing to these terms

By using Buck the Duck ("Buck", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Buck. You must be at least 13 years old to use Buck, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.

Your account

Keep your login details secure and give accurate information when you sign up. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@bucktheduck.site if you think someone else has used it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the material you upload and the StudyPacks you create. You give us permission to store, process and send that material to our service providers (including our AI provider) only as needed to run Buck for you.

Only upload material you have the right to use. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains other people's sensitive personal information.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• harass, threaten or spam other users through messages, friend requests or live rooms;
• try to get around rate limits, automate requests, or use Buck as a general-purpose AI service;
• try to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to Buck or other users' accounts;
• use Buck to cheat on assessments where AI help isn't allowed, or for anything illegal.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI-generated content

Buck uses AI to write questions, grade answers and read diagrams. AI can make mistakes, so questions, answers and grades may be incomplete or wrong. Always check important facts against your course material. Buck is a study aid and doesn't replace your teachers or official resources.

Usage limits

To keep Buck fast and affordable for everyone, we limit how many requests you can make in a period of time. We may change these limits, or the features available, at any time.

Our content

Buck's name, duck character, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Buck running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of Buck. If we change these Terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Buck at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@bucktheduck.site. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Buck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, grades or opportunities, arising from your use of Buck. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
